The benefits to airbrush tanning over a spray tan booth are having an actual person making sure that you have no streaks or missed spots, & giving you a customized spray tan color for your particular skin tone/type. There are no UV rays involved. In fact, spray tanning is the healthiest way to achieve a tan without the damaging sunlight. Airbrush spray tanning is endorsed by The Skin Cancer Association, The American Cancer Association, The America Cancer Society, The American Medical Association, & The American Academy of Dermatology.

The secret to achieving a flawless spray tan glow has everything to do with preparing the skin before a session and maintaining the tan after the session.

EXFOLIATE (preferably the day before your tan) using a loofa, exfoliation mitt, or sugar scrub. Spray tan comes OFF with dead skin, so make sure yours is gone when you come to get your tan.

Moisturize your skin in the days leading UP to your tan. Just have no lotions left on your skin when you arrive. Showering/shaving the day before your appointment is best! Hot showers immediately before your tan can affect the PH level in your skin, so try to plan ahead.

If you have previous spray tan left on your skin, you need to remove it. Overlapping tans is a big no-no. After about 7 days or longer, your tan should be able to come off pretty easily. Using warm water/soap in the bath or shower, your old tan can be wiped off with a wash cloth. After you exit the shower, using the dry towel on your wet skin will help remove tan too. This also exfoliates your skin as well in preparation for your next tan!

What to wear during your tan: The FDA recommends bottom, we don't require them. Whatever your comfortable with. You can wear a bikini top if you'd like, but keep in mind the tan lines you will have if you do.

Bring dark/loose clothing to wear after your tan, and please don't put on a bra afterwards!

If you request a darker shade than I recommend for your skin tone, you risk a more noticeable fade. I will let you know which color I predict is best for your skin.

No waxing or pedicures the day of your tan. If you get a pedicure while you still have tan, have them skip the scrubs/towel rubbing on your legs. Do not wax while you still have tan on.

No tight clothing or bra until after your rinse.
Don't get wet or sweat until after your rinse.
Don't touch your tan with your hands until after your rinse.
Don't wash your hands for at least 2 hours after your tan.
If you sleep with your tan on, wear pajama pants & a t-shirt to avoid skin to skin DHA transfer.
For rapid rinse tans, only shower with warm water & no products for your first rinse. Once your tan has developed for 8 hours you can shower with recommended products. For 8 hour rinses, you may use recommended body wash. Avoid shaving until the next shower.
In every shower for the duration of your tan, avoid: scrubbing, Dove products, bar soap, or rubbing with the towel! PAT with the towel!
Chlorine & salt water can make your tan fade quicker than usual.
The most CRUCIAL tip we have for making your tan last is moisturize moisturize moisturize! Every. Single. Day! Avoid products with mineral oil & sulfates, I recommend Hempz lotion.

FAQ's

what do i wear?

I recommend bottoms only, preferably thong underwear. You may wear a top or a bikini, but please keep in mind the tan lines you will have.

How long will it last?

Your tan will START to fade around day 6 or 7 if you follow all of the pre & post tan guidelines.

will i be oragne?

No, I do not carry orange! My spray tan solution is a natural golden brown shade & I will determine the right DHA level for your skin type. Choosing to go darker than recommended can result in a more unnatural looking tan & more obvious fade.

is it safe during pregnacy?

ALWAYS consult with your OBGYN before spray tanning pregnant. That being said, spray tans are considered safe while pregnant.
